Guatemala Aid Fund

Guatemala Aid Fund (GAF) began 13 years ago when Bethany Eisenberg Zeeb, an adoptive mother of two Guatemalan-born children, decided to stop exchanging expensive Christmas gifts and instead began collecting necessities such as medical supplies to help Hermano Pedro Orphanage/Hospital in Antigua, Guatemala. What started out as one family's effort in giving back, turned into the Guatemala Aid Fund thanks to tremendous support from family, friends and communities. GAF is now a 501(c)3 charitable organization.

The Guatemala Aid Fund focuses specifically on the needs of abandoned and handicapped children and adults. We currently provide monetary support to 4 specific programs. We also make donations as needed for KIVA loans, Safe Passages and other programs, especially during  emergencies such as mudslides, floods and volcanic activity.

We are all volunteers and don't use any of the funds for travel expenses. Some funds are used to organize & support the fundraising events we organize.
We personally visit all programs we support.
