Author Readings / Signings / Cultural Activities for Kids
We offer a variety of reading/signing/selling events with interactive activities that are related to children, arts and culture. We find that children and parents alike enjoy the learning and sharing focus of our activities and also appreciate the giving aspect of our book. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we donate 100% of the sales directly to programs that help children and families stay together and create futures in their own communities in Guatemala.

Activities Available to Share During a book reading/signing event:
We would be honored to share our book that gives back 100% of sales to help children and families, and we would love to provide the following activities as appropriate for your event goals either virtually or in person.
1. Guatemalan Touch Table - toys, textiles, dress up items and weavings from Guatemala
2. Drawing / crafts table - Guatemalan and book related drawing sheets and arts items
3. Scavenger hunt activity - we place drawings of different bees around for children to find around the venue and check off on their scavenger list, and give out stickers as a prize for finding them all.
3. Photos and/or slide show of Guatemala highlights made just for children for viewing.
4. "Singing Beach Day" Book reading/signing/selling - (Our books are $26 with 100% going to the Guatemala Aid Fund rural programs)
