You can Help us help the children!

Collect Used Sports Equipment for our September Sale in Arlington MA or Have your own Sale! These items sell great and really support our programs. Especially skates, skis/snowboards and boots, bats, balls, snow pants, hockey and baseball gear. Also, if you have NEW uniforms your town teams did not use up, we will send those to schools in Guatemala. Send an email out to your teams, friends, schools and we will be happy to sell your used gear and equipment!

Or if you sell on ebay.. you can automatically select us as a charity to receive some of your profits!

Involve your kids in the giving - Have them Join the Caring Kids Club

If you would like your child to join in the giving, a suggestion would to be to make their Birthday a celebration of giving as well. Perhaps you could ask parents of attending children to donate some of the money they would spend on a gift to the GAF. Or ask them to bring some childrens medicines for us to ship. We will make sure that the kids in Guatemala receive their donation and will send thank you cards for you to send to your party guests. We have many more ideas of how your kids can help on our Caring Kids Club page.

Goals
This year we are hoping to raise more than $30,000 to provide support to four orphanages and other assistance programs to help families earn a living and keep their children in school. We welcome all donations, preferably monetary but also vitamins, medicine, new underwear, socks, clothes & new sneakers. Rest assured that your money is going towards our missions in Guatemala. We really don't have any expenses. Not even for this website.

Please help us reach our goal

We really want to make an impact and help the children and those in need in Guatemala. Most of the children we support have no families, or their families can't take care of them for various reasons. Ideally, these children would be with their families but when that was not possible, they had a chance of a new family if they were adopted and brought into a loving family in the US or another country. That door is closed for the foreseeable future and the need for help is greater than ever.

We have found that shipping items is extremely costly, and sending money that can be spent for necessary items in Guatemala will support the economy so we focus on monetary donations.

We will however take some of the more costly and needed items if new or in good condition
